Sensei Stan Tio

Was introduced to karate in 1983 by his step-father, Ignatius Holidaya, 4th Dan, who was a brown belt student at The Toronto JKA.

Attained his Shodan (1st degree black belt) in 1986 at the age of 15 by the late Master Nakayama, 10th Dan.

Attained his Nidan (2nd degree black belt) in 1992 from Master Okazaki, 9th Dan and Master Yaguchi, 8th Dan.

Attained his Sandan (3rd degree black belt) in 1995 from Master Okazaki and Master Yaguchi.

Attained his Yondan (4th degree black belt) in 1999 from Master Okazaki.

Attained Godan (5th degree black belt) in 2009 from Master Ueki, Master Tanaka, and Master Osaka.

Attained Rokudan (6th degree black belt) in 2019 from Master Ueki.

2011 JKA World Cup Bronze Medallist - Team Kumite

3 time Bronze Medallist at the JKA World Cup - Team Kata

Placed in the top 8 at the 2006 JKA World Cup - Individual Kata

3 time ISKF/JKA Pan-American Bronze Medallist - Individual Kata

1999 ISKF/JKA Pan-American Champion - Team Kumite

3 time ISKF/JKA Pan-American Champion - Team Kata

6 time ISKF/JKA National Champion - Individual Kumite

1994 ISKF/JKA National Champion - Individual Kata

14 time ISKF/JKA National Champion - Team Kata

5 time ISKF/JKA National Champion - Team Kumite

6 time ISKF/JKA National Grand Champion - Best Competitor

Has placed numerous times at the National level tournaments in other organizations such as ITKF and NKA (WKF).

Has been a National Team Member since 1993.
